Chic of the Week: Amy’s Lovely Layers
Happy Friday, everyone! It’s Allison here from Team LC.com. Reflecting back on this past year, there’s no denying that LaurenCornad.com had some major moments in 2012. From chic style tips to decorative DIYs, each and every blog post had new tips, tricks, and stories to learn from. One of my personal favorites was Lauren’s Proportion Play post about how to put together the ideal outfit. And it looks like I’m not alone… One of our very own members, Amy P., took some serious style notes from this post when she shared a pic of her wintery outfit. Congrats, Amy—we’ve elected you our newest Chic of the Week!
Amy’s adorable outfit is perfectly proportioned because she followed Lauren’s tip and balanced voluminous layers on top with the slim silhouette of her red skinny jeans on the bottom. She finished off her look with suede booties, a classic watch, and a braided ‘do. I don’t know about you but this patterned, proportional look is giving me some major style inspiration of my own…

Looks great! I too have been paying more attention to proportion. So far I have just been playing with sweaters and skinnies. When I get back to my dorm and the rest of my clothes maybe I will move on to something else.
