models don't eat chocolate cookies by erin dionne is about how a girl who gets picks on her weight becomes a plus size model but the girl in school picks on her. she wants to loose the weight. the best thing about the book is that the author who wrote this book is base the book about her self when she was in high school. -
Of course Great Gatsby is witten by an American :) but that one was meant to go under the "Classics" ;-)

The Help really moved me. Beautiful, funny, emotional book! A must-read for sure!
I'm now reading the Fifty shades of Grey trilogy and loving it!
Since I'm a huge fan of British novels and classics; The Great Gatsby, Angela's Ashes.
Also, Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy is very good! The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the Girl Who Played With Fire, the Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

This is a smart, witty, cute, girly book with an interest new take on friend making. I've only ready half the book so that's still plenty of time for you to choose it :)

50 Shades of Grey seems like a popular read. You should do that one and maybe it will inspire me to finally read it!

I'd love to suggest The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba. It's the summer reading for my year at my college, and it's a very good read, about a boy from Malawi (the author, in fact) building windmills on hope, basically.

I loved Safe Haven, one of my favorites by Nicholas Sparks. A love story but with a stronger woman.
This is a little ahead of time but it is really interesting. The Autobiography of Santa Claus. It follows Santa from when he was known as Nicholas and how he does not age because of this magic, but the best part is how it ties into history and how King Arthur and Atilla the Hun were sick of all the war in their life and gave it up to join him in bringing joy to children.
It also talks about how he is known as something different throughout all the countries in the world. And adds a bit of a love story with his wife. It is COMPLETELY unexpected

The Perks of Being a Wallflower? I heard it's really good and the movie is coming out soon, so it would be fun to read before!

Definitely Nicholas Sparks' safe haven. It's likfe yhis traditional storyline but so suspenseful and scary actually!

Both Before I Fall (Lauren Oliver) and The Fault In Our Stars (John Green) are beautiful. Delirium (Lauren Oliver) is a nice dystopia, like Hunger Games.
goodreads.com has lots of books with reviews :)
