5 Cardi+Blouse Combos You'll Want to Wear All Season Long
The cardigan-and-blouse combo is a tried-and-true favorite, and this season, we're looking to inject a fresh twist to this styling trick with pretty color combinations, textural intrigue, and fun prints. First up? Try pairing an oversize cable-knit, grandpa-inspired cardigan with a silk plaid top for a look that can easily be worn to the cabin (with cords and fur-lined boots), or with leather leggings and metallic oxfords for an effortless downtown aesthetic. Cute, right? Keep clicking for four more cardi-and-blouse combos we promise you'll want to wear all season long.
Office Sophisticate...
Play with textures and mix a nubby striped cardigan with a lace peplum top. Just make sure the cardigan is slightly cropped, so the peplum will stick out underneath just perfectly so.
Casual Weekend...
A cable-knit grandpa cardi and silk plaid top are ideal for pairing with skinny cords or a pair of sleek leather leggings.

Aubin & Wills Sheepmoor Cable-Knit Wool Cardigan ($150, originally $300), Equipment Oversize Plaid Print Brett Blouse ($248)

Date Night...
We love the idea of pairing this cozy angora sweater with a sheer black blouse for an evening-appropriate pairing.
Girls Night Out..
For the bohemian nomad, don a long rose-print cardigan with a sheer tunic for relaxed layered look. Finish off with ankle boots and skinny jeans for a cool weekend outfit.
Transitional...
Nothing says polished prep like a classic wool cardigan (we love this emerald green hue) styled with a chambray blouse. Extra points for buttoning your blouse all the way up to the top and accessorizing it with a statement necklace underneath.
Which combo is your favorite?

I absolutely love outfit number one :] This post reminds me of my "Philosophy of Sweatpants" post ( http://cupofvintage.com/the-philosophy-of-sweatpants/ ). Basically, unless you're going through a mid-life crisis or breakup, there is no need to wear sweatpants. You always gotta look good in order to feel good (and vice versa).
Keep it classy!

My favourite is the casual weekend. The one with the flannel shirt and the grandpa cable-knit sweater. I LOVE that look actually. Casual and comfy but stylish is probably my favourite thing. It goes along with being a full-time university student. -

Fabulous! I adore the Casual Weekend look with the simple silk plaid top. I am a country girl and love plaid and flannel, so that would fit me and my lifestyle. (:

is it bad that most of my cardigans are grandpa cardigans? also that they are purchased in the men's section at most places? these looks are basically my uniform during the cold weather months.

These are all super cute, but honestly a normal person CANNOT afford these clothes. Yeah they are great ideas, but please put things up where we could find affordable items. More than 50% of America could not afford to buy a 200 dollar sweater. -
i think i like office sophisticate best! the peplum is so cute.
