Tuesday Ten: Our Favorite iPhone Apps

Tuesday Ten: Our Favorite iPhone Apps

These days, there’s one accessory that we never leave home without, and we don’t mean our must-wear piece of everyday jewelry. We’re talking about our beloved iPhones. I think it’s safe to say that we simply cannot live without them. Our iPhones keep our schedules organized, capture memories and moments, keep us connected to friends and family, and do about a million and one other things. Because our phones are such an important part of our lives, we thought we’d share the 10 iPhone apps that are always open on our phones.

1. Instagram
As you know by now, we’re Instagram obsessed over here at LC.com. We absolutely love refreshing our feed to see all of the gorgeous photos that our friends and followers post. And we never miss an opportunity to share a sneak peek of our lives with all of you! For those of you who understand our Insta-obsession, make sure to check out our 10 favorite accounts to follow. And don’t forget to follow Lauren (she posts the most stunning snapshots) and also Team LC!

2. Pinterest
Confession: We might just prefer pinning on our phones to our computers. The Pinterest iPhone app is so easy to use, and makes it so much fun to organize our inspirations and pull together beautiful boards. Nothing sparks our creativity more than a good old pinge (aka pinning binge). And if you’re not already, make sure you’re following LaurenConrad.com on Pinterest for daily inspiration and pretty pictures.

3. Waze
If this is the first time that you’ve heard of Waze, we promise that it will change your life. We honestly couldn’t live without it. Waze is a crowd-sourced navigation app, which means that it find the fastest routes for you. Tons of Waze users report accidents, closed lanes, heavy traffic, etc. so when you type in an address that you need directions to, the app automatically maps the fastest way for you to get to your destination. So genius! And in a city like LA where traffic is unpredictable, it’s truly a lifesaver.

4. Uber
Gone are the days of hailing a cab… now all you have to do is open the Uber app, request a car, and voila! Your ride will show up in minutes. Our favorite part about Uber is that your account is linked up to your credit card, so you never have to worry about having enough cash or handing over your credit card to the driver. And, you can request different types of cars (with different pricepoints). Uber is our go-to mode of transportation for girls’ night out, birthday celebrations, and any other night when we want to have a couple cocktails.

5.  RetailMeNot
We don’t go shopping without this app. RetailMeNot is the key to becoming the savviest shopper around—you just open the app, select the stores you love, and immediately get access to all of their deals and discounts. Also, whenever you go into a store, the app sends you a notification with the current coupon/promotion that’s going on in that store. And the best part is that you can get coupons for in-store or online—so wherever you shop, you can get the best deal.

6. My Fitness Pal
For all of us here at LC.com, keeping an eye on what we eat and staying on top of our workout routines is really important. Of course, there’s always a time to splurge on some sweet treats and give yourself a day off from the grind to rest and rejuvenate. But to keep ourselves on track (most days), we love My Fitness Pal. It’s great for keeping tabs on your diet, daily calorie intake and workout habits.

7. Pandora
Here at LC.com HQ, Pandora is one of our favorite music apps. At any given moment, you can find us working away to the Beyonce Pandora channel—it’s our current favorite! We especially love the Pandora iPhone app because we can listen to all of our favorite songs, and discover new ones, on the go. When we go for a hike, take a roadtrip, or spend time anywhere without our computers, we turn to the Pandora app to supply the soundtrack. And as you probably know, we’re also big fans of Songza for curated playlists by music experts.

8. Mint
While it’s not the most fun app, Mint is a really good way of managing your money. Balancing a budget isn’t the most enjoyable activity in the world, so we love that Mint makes the process a lot easier (and less intimidating). Keeping track of your expenses is a must, and Mint does all of the hard work for you. More on this topic soon…

9. Afterlight
Ever wonder how those photos you see on Instagram can possibly look that good? Or wonder what type of filter your favorite bloggers uses to make their pics look so pretty? Well, 9 times out of 10 it’s because of Afterlight. You can edit photos, add filters, enhance color, plus so much more. While we admit that we have a ton of photo editing apps on our phones (a girl can never have enough!), Afterlight is our go-to.

10. Tradesy
Ever take a peek inside your closet and wish you had a whole new wardrobe? With Tradesy, you can buy and sell used clothing (and shoes, bags, accessories…) with just a few clicks. All you do is snap a photo of an item that you want to sell, upload it to the app, and list a price. Tradesy sends you the mailing supplies, which makes the process super easy. And the best part? You can return anything you don’t love. Such a fun (and financially-savvy) way to keep your closet updated.

What are your absolute favorite apps? Share them in the comments and we’ll make sure to test them out!
