Chic of the Week: Amanda’s Storage Solution

Last year Lauren blogged about a few of her favorite ways to deal with unruly jewelry in her post, Operation Organize: The Necklace Nightmare, so when we found Amanda PeQueen’s adorable DIY jewelry storage solution we had to show it off to everyone!

By affixing a couple strings of wire to empty frames, Amanda created a wonderfully chic place to store all of her bits and baubles. For an extra lovely finish, back the frames with some pretty fabric. According to Amanda, it’s a “$3 craft project!” To put it all together, she “picked up the frames from the dollar store and used wire, scrap fabric, and leftover spray paint.” Brilliant right? She said that it’s “an organized and beautiful way to store jewelry!” And we couldn’t agree more!

In honor of Amanda’s creativity we have crowned her our newest Chic of the Week!

Congrats Amanda!

Be sure to add Amanda as a friend so you can take a peek at her album, Some Crafty Things, that’s filled with other simple DIY decor projects!

Are you going to give Amanda’s DIY a try? How do you keep your jewelry organized?

my jewelry is kept in many boxes, it is the only way that I have to try to keep it organized.

But I am wealing to try this idea, although having my earings and necklages on the wall seems a little bit to different for me. LOL

This idea works equally well on the inside of a closet if you don’t want to use it on your bedroom walls! Also consider the bathroom if yours is large enough; it’s where many people get ready and where the largest mirrors often are anyway.

  • tinamarie

thanks for tip. this idea is amazing, since my jewelry gets cluttered everywhere. congrats on being chick of the week!!

  • Tamina Schuster

I love this idea, I’ve already seen this on other blogs

I have to try it and beautify my closet (room) :-)

Very neat! My dad made me a jewelry cupboard with a full-length mirror as the door… another good way to organize my jewels (though somehow I still find piles of things where they shouldn’t be…).

The frames are nice and a good way to break up some blank wall space!
