I hope everyone enjoyed our first LaurenConrad.com Book Club on Bossypants! I had lovely time talking with all of you during the Live Book Chat and am already looking forward to our next online meet up…

I haven’t made a decision yet as to what our next book will be. There’s a lot of things I want to read right now, so it’s difficult to pick just one! Needless to say, I have been looking through all of your recommendations in the Forum and have a pretty good idea of what the next book will be…

Before I announce the next book, tell me what you’re reading right now in the comments below.

Also, what book would you like to read for our next Book Club?

I’ll announce the next book on Monday, August 22nd.

XO Lauren

    I think The Room’ by Emma Donoghue would be a really good read for your book club. It’s a heart wrenching story about a woman and her child who have been held in captivity by a man; the story of their life in captivity and their eventual release. The story is amazing and is a really good choice for book clubs. In fact it was the TV book club 2011 winner. Hope you consider it!

  • Kylea Zmoos

    there are so many good books that people have mention.

    I would have to say “”the Help””- just started “”Sisterhood Everlasting””-page turner if you liked the teen series. “”The Hunger Games series”” seriously so good, couldnt stop reading. “”Water for Elephants”” was really good as well. {i guess i have a think for books that are turned into movies : ) }

  • Jenny Sweeney

    I am currently reading “”Open House”” by a UK author called “”Jill Mansell”” She is my favourite author and I would recommend her books to anybody. You can really relate to all her characters and whichever book I am reading I never want it to end – they are so hard to put down! She has written dozens of bestsellers within the UK and they are aimed at all age groups (my nan borrows them of me when Im finished and she loves them!) She is based in Bristol (southwest of the UK) and bases most of her books around the surrounding Cotswold countryside villages which make for very idylic settings. I think her style of writing would appeal to a lot of international readers as well as UK based.

  • Melissa Panici

    After You’d Gone. About a misfit girl name Alice who falls into a coma. Throughout the book you’re never quite sure if she caused the coma herself by a suicide attempt or not. The ook follows her life up until her coma and tells the story of how her parents and grandparents met. As well as how Alice meets her current love. I’m not finished but I would recommend it thus far.
